The SOGAFRIC Group grew from the "industrial refrigeration and air conditioning" business of Boutonnet, founded in 1954 in Port-Gentil. In 1957, Mr. Robert Boutonnet founded the SOGAFRIC company in Libreville, which gave rise to SOGAFRIC FROID in 1982. The refrigeration businesses in Port-Gentil joined SOGAFRIC FROID in 1987.
