We have been in the Swimming Pool Industry since 1977 and have grown into Ghana's leading company in both Construction of Pools and importation and supply of quality Swimming Pool Filtration, Fittings and Chemicals from Astral Export, Spain. In 1990 we branched out into other water related fields including securing the agency for DAB pumps SpA, Italy's leading electrical Water Pump Manufacturer, a subsidiary of Grundfos Pumps. We also supply Ultraviolet Water Sterilization Systems manufactured by Hanovia of the UK.

The Star Soap & Detergent Industries PLC was established in January, 1996 to manufacture laundry soap, toilet soap, liquid detergent, powder and bar soaps. SSDI, mainly produces laundry bar soaps, namely Star 2000, Almas, Concorde and Rainbow Toilet soap under the brand MAS, and now has moved into its second phase of production of Powder Detergent (under Goal Brand) liquid detergent (Gold Star) and synthetic detergent. SSDI has shown a substantial growth both in its production, and sales volume.SSDI has also been supplying NGOs such as the Red Cross Society, UNHCR and UNICEF. It also supplies nearly 70% of the hotels and hospitals in Ethiopia for their soap and detergent needs. SSDI has regional agents in different administrative regions, thereby, increasing its outlets and meeting the different demands of different regions.Since its establishment, SSDI has been increasing its product mix, from laundry soaps into toilet soaps, powder detergents, liquid detergents, synthetic detergents and has increased its production capacity from 3.5 ton/hour up to 8 tons per hour for laundry soap with the motto “YOUR HYGEINE IS OUR CONCERN”. SSDI is determined to present a high quality product and to keep its standards and always meet quality control, by maintaining high quality products with competitive prices.
