Kilimanjaro Outfitters is a locally owned tour and safaris company that specialises in mountain climbing, wildlife safaris, photographing safaris, cultural tourism programmes and beach holiday vacations in East Africa. We are primarily located in Tanzania, Kilimanjaro region, in a well known and famous tourist junction, Moshi town, just a few miles away from the roof top of Africa, the Mount Kilimanjaro.  The KILIMANJARO OUTFITTERS is also unique in that we specialise in exclusively East Africa with no desire to expand and run tours around the globe. KETCO was founded by Edward Ernest Kutingala, the founder of Maasai Joy Children's Centre of which its mission is to provide quality education to the disadvantaged Community across the Maasai land. This has enabled the Community to eradicate poverty though education. Standing as Founder of the MJCC, I did look on just the Maasai as the Community but went an extra mile within Africa at Large. My thought overwhelms how the Maasai Joy School will freely and private support itself and others around it proximity. KECTC's target travel companies who in return may come up with set strategies in supporting communities all around the world that shares KETCO's vision. Its strategy is not only looking for travel organization as the only way of fund raising, but also penetrating its arm to other donors, individuals support, family foundations and government support agencies in uplifting the lives of the community for the better tomorrow.  The vision of this project is to penetrate cordially through these travel companies who in turn cooperates with KECTO's as per their interest in meeting the community needs. These travel companies will co-operate with KECTO which is a charitable organization, part of their profit maximization will be directed to the community.Encouraging the need through supporting Education for example, some pupils have good ability to study further but due to limitations resulted by having few schools owned by the Government; many of them remain at home. Private Schools are available but they cannot afford. We have some people who can afford to pay but majority who depends on the Government cannot afford. Helping Community based schools in building lavatories, painting of school laboratory, furniture eg. Desks & chairs Empowering the parents by supporting them by educating them how to start small projects like, chicken keeping, goats, fish, Vegetable garden, trees nursery and planting them to protect environment and to offset carbon foot print.  Depending on the financial position of the Organization, we would like to expand computer knowledge to the society. But this is subject to the availability of computers (new or used) and availability of power ( electricity or Solar power) Most local area has got scarcity of water, so the organization among other will initiate Construction/ drilling of well to ensure availability of water. This will encourage smoothly running of environmental friendly projects like plating trees and also emproving hygiene in the society. Our plan is to have a team of the Volunteers who will move around the community to find out, the actual basic need which community need urgent support. From there, will upload information in the webpage in which Clients may be able to visit and see what we are doing to help the communities. Please note that, we are ready to offer advice and organize transport and accommodation for volunteers as may be required.

Between our office in Moshi, Tanzania and our knowledgeable Swedish representative, we take care of every detail to ensure you have the trip of a lifetime! • Personalized Itineraries: Every one of our safaris is custom designed based upon your personal interests and requirements. Many other companies offer set itineraries that utilize the same lodges and visit the same locations regardless of the time of year or customer preferences. You will frequently see itineraries utilizing the same chain lodge in all the parks visited (i.e. Sopa, Wildlife or Serena chains). Though we may recommend these lodges on certain itineraries (depending on your requirements and season of travel), we certainly would not book the same type of lodge for the entirety of your trip. This would inevitably lead to a very sterile and one-sided experience. We do not have set itineraries or preferred relationships with any major lodging chain. We are able to make reservations at any of the lodges and do so based upon what interests you. We are committed to work with you to design the most optimal itinerary. A safari to Africa is usually a once in a lifetime trip and you should receive no less than the very best. • Private Safari Leaders: All our safaris are also private safaris.  Other companies mix groups of up to twelve different individuals thereby reducing the overall transportation cost (vehicle and guide) and increasing their profit, as much of these savings are not passed on to you. We do not mix groups unless requested. We believe that a private safari provides the best way to experience the parks, wildlife and scenery of Tanzania. It offers the freedom, flexibility, and choices that you deserve.  A place as wild and spectacular as the Serengeti is sometimes best absorbed in serene solitude with just yourself and the people you feel comfortable with.
